What a great way to spend Valentine’s Day — a tasting at Manatawny Still Works, led by Bill. Not far from the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, MSW is nestled in an unassuming industrial park and conveniently located just across the street from Sly Fox Brewery. We got a tour of MSW, a complimentary beverage included in the tour (those Manhattans you see are ours), and a tasting of eight different distilled liquors paired with chocolates. This photo really doesn’t do the space justice. There’s a nice bar and plenty of high-top table seating just around the corner from where Bill is pouring. This would be a great space for a party! Of all the items we tried, I’d recommend the gin — a nice balance of juniper and black pepper. If you like pizza, pop over to Sly Fox before you drive away, and don’t forget to hit the outlets on your way home!
